Lubomyr Luciuk, a Kingstonian born and raised, is a professor of political geography at The Royal Military College of Canada and was one of the founding members of The Royal Winers and the Judgement of Kingston.
Robert Burkholder, retired, was a senior leader in services for children and youth for much of his working career, both within the Ontario government and in the private non-profit sector. An active volunteer in the community, Bob has also been enjoying food and wine from Prince Edward County since moving to Kingston in 2006.
Rachel Mathies is a food and wine enthusiast who has spent 13 years working in downtown Kingston’s hospitality industry, specifically at two of Kingston’s best known hospitality businesses, Chez Piggy Restaurant & Bar and Pan Chancho Bakery & Café. She is certified, with distinction, through the Wine & Spirit Education Trust. Rachel has also earned a number of certificates related to the appreciation and knowledge of wine, including her Introductory Sommelier certification through the Court of Master Sommeliers.
Ian Nicholls a sommelier and founder of County Sips, has been immersed in the Kingston food scene for over 30 years. Since 2015, he has been introducing wine enthusiasts to the County. Additionally, he has curated wine lists for local venues like Tango and Curate Social.
